OUR MISSION

HOPE BUILDERS WORKS WITH INSPIRED LOCAL PEOPLE, TO FACILITATE CHRIST-CENTERED EDUCATION & TRAINING FOR AT-RISK POPULATIONS, TO INCREASE RESILIENCE & HOPE-FILLED LIVES, NOW AND FOR GENERATIONS TO COME.

WE DO THIS THROUGH THREE PRIMARY CHANNELS

  • DISCIPLESHIP

    • Where would we be without our Savior? HOPELESS! JESUS IS HOPE FOR US ALL!

Hope Builders Kiddos know Jesus loves them and learn to love back! They’re active in their local church & community.

  • EDUCATION

    • We facilitate and manage long-term, committed sponsor relationships between individual children and those who can provide support and a future for them.

    • We establish impactful local community education, addressing issues significant to these children and youth, including:

      • Gender Health & Safety

      • Nutrition & Sanitation

      • Addressing Cultural Norms (like Oppression, Witchcraft & Child Sacrifice) that lead to violence & economic vulnerability

  • SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

    • We act as a conduit for innovative development of varied skills-programs and processes, materials, tools, relationships and opportunities, serving vulnerable populations.

    • We establish and manage international partnerships for collaborative skills-sharing / skills-development mission trips.

    • Weoversee skills-development mission trips including defining participation guidelines, goals, and processes, measurement of outcomes, and follow-up with participants.

      Our Sponsors & Donors

SPONSORS ARE THE HEARTBEAT OF HOPE BUILDERS.

THEY COME FROM MANY DIFFERENT PLACES BUT HAVE A COMMON LOVE FOR CHILDREN!

BECAUSE OF THEIR WILLINGNESS TO ENGAGE AND BUILD SUPPORTIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH THEIR SPONSORED CHILD, LIVES ARE BEING CHANGED.

Our Team

IN ADDITION TO OUR SPONSORS, HERE ARE THE FOLKS THAT MAKE IT ALL WORK AT hOPE bUILDERS:

Debbie Louise

Debbie is wife to John, mother of five, and a successful businesswoman who first came to Uganda in 2017. While in Uganda, she became aware that too many in this generation of children do not have any idea what the love of Christ feels like. They are seen as burdens on their society.

Working collaboratively with local churches as well as friends and organizations in the US, Debbie and the board of Hope Builders is framing a sustainable program that will support loving and disciple-making relationships between children and their long-term sponsors as well as individual development opportunities for each that child Hope Builders serves.

Ruth Namigadde

Ruth is our volunteer in-country Program Coordinator for Hope Builders Residential Ministry House in Mityana. She is using her education in Child Development to forge a strong and sustainable program to meet the needs of the children served by the Hope Builders ministry. Ruth manages the daily physical and emotional needs of the children as well as their schooling, and ensures regular discipleship as well as building a great appreciation in the hearts of the children for passionate Christian worship. She also works tirelessly to forge partnerships that will serve these youth as they become adults and develop life skills.

Chris Griffin, Debbie Louise & Suzanne Norten are the original Board Members of Hope Builders

These ladies work tirelessly behind the scenes ensuring the work needed is completed, to care for the children we minister to, and to get the word out about the goodness of God and the impact one person can have through Hope Builders.

Today we are blessed by Sarah Maldaner and Dan Mondragon, our faithful additions to the Board. We are dedicated to serving the Lord through the ministry of Hope Builders.
